Our newest custom blade plug design, is an Aperture Style design with a functioning open and closing mechanism, like a camera shutter. Check out the video example to see these in action. These can rotate clockwise to close, and counter clockwise to open yourself, these are not self actuating. These are 25.4mm (1") sized blade plugs, so make sure your saber can accommodate 1" blades and blade plugs before purchasing. The total height of the blade plugs is 45mm from top to bottom, and 49.5mm with the neopixel connector added. The inner diameter of the polycarbonate part of the plug is 20mm. These are made with very small M1x3mm phillips head screws, 6 on top and 6 underneath, so please do not lose these screws as they are very small and can be easily lost or misplaced. The assembled blade plug will feel somewhat loose when you receive it; this is normal to allow the pieces to actuate and move back and forth. You can tighten the set screws if you wish but this will prevent it from rotating back and forth if they are tightened too much.
These can be ordered as a standard or neopixel blade plug. The standard plug will include only the blade plug itself, and the neopixel blade plug will be assembled with a custom 3D printed holder and one of our ShtokCustomWorx Blade Side PCB's with built in neopixel LED's.
