The new V2 version of the Geonobi hilt features new spring loaded static actuator buttons for fully removable chassis designs, and a better emitter tolerance for 1" blades.
Based on the saber used by Obi Wan Kenobi in Attack of the Clones, this is saber is accurate to the prop used in the films, based on references and dimensions provided by the sold prop listing.
This is an empty DIY saber kit, and does not include any electronics or other components.
The total weight of the saber when fully assembled is 10 oz.
Overall length from emitter to pommel end is approximately 9.75"
This hilt will accommodate 1" blades, with an internal diameter of 29mm for all other areas of the hilt.
The hilt uses both red anodized pieces as static switch actuators, for a chassis design to use tactile switches built in.
The hilt finish included brushed aluminum, polished brass, matte black anodizing, red switch anodizing and aluminum finishes on the button accents.
The small aluminum accents for the red switch actuators will come included but will need to be glued in place. This is to allow weathering or customization to the parts prior to finalizing their placement in the actuator.
Each actuator includes 3 different plungers that can be interchanged depending on your preference.
One plunger allows better tactile feedback in the designed chassis but makes the actuator sit slightly higher in appearance.
The medium height plunger has a lower overall height appearance but has less tactile or 'clicky' feedback on the buttons
The third and shortest plunger allows the red actuator to sit low and more flush with the hilt but has much less plunger depth, and is thus better for static displays.
